Public throng Udumalai Govt. Hospital for second dose of Covid-19 vaccines without adhering to social distancing
Tirupur: With Covaxin and Covishield vaccines being administered at the Udumalai Government Hospital in Tirupur district, people who had taken their first dose earlier crowded the hospital for a second dose without adhering to safety norms stipulated by the Government.

With the second wave of Covid-19 sweeping across the country, more and more people have been thronging Government hospitals to get vaccinated. Although the hospital staff and doctors ordered the public to line up, it has been increasingly difficult to restrain the crowd.

The crowd that had gathered at the hospital began shouting at the medical staff and got into heated arguments. Police have been deployed for security and issuing tokens for vaccination at the hospital.
