Public complain of faulty new electric lights fitted on Malumichampatti National Highway near Kinathukadavu
Coimbatore: The National Highway has been widened to four lanes and a concrete road has been laid from Coimbatore Eachanari area to Pollachi Achipatti via Kinathukadavu.

Lights have been installed at key points on the four newly-laid lanes on behalf of the National Highways Department and more than 50 electric lights are installed on four roads on the National Highway in the Malumichampatti area near Kinathukadavu.

People in the area have complained that the lights have not been lit even once since the day the lights were installed.

Residents of the area have demanded that the National Highways Department take action to ensure the lights are working on the National Highway, since it is too dark at night for people to move around safely.
