Three youth who had sexually harassed a 16-year old girl on Race Course Road in Coimbatore have been booked under the POCSO Act and sent to a juvenile home in Coimbatore.
The girl who was reportedly undergoing bicycle training on Sunday morning at Race Course Road was being followed by three 17-year old boys on a two-wheeler. It is reported that the boys who were initially eve-teasing the girl began to sexually harass her when she tried to avoid them and move away. The girl immediately screamed for help and was rescued by daily walkers on Race Course Road. The boys were also caught and handed over to the Race Course Road Police Station.
The case has subsequently been transferred to the Central All Women's Police Station where a case has been filed under the POCSO Act against the three youth who have been sent to a juvenile home.
