Coimbatore: The Pollachi - Podanur railway line is located at the Vadugapalayam section of the Pollachi - Palakkad road.
The flyover work was started in September 2019 with an allocation of Rs 55 crore and Rs 17 lakh on behalf of the Highways Department to close the railway gate and prevent traffic congestion.
Routes have been changed for two years and the public has been facing various difficulties due to the delay in the erection of pillars for the flyover.
The public alleged that the Railway officials and government are ignoring the difficulties faced by people in traffic jams and have demanded that the construction of the flyover be completed soon and made available for public use.
