517 people discharged after recovering from COVID-19 in Pollachi
Coimbatore: 517 people have been discharged from Pollachi after receiving treatment for Covid-19 infection.
With a spike in the number of people being infected with Covid-19, across Coimbatore District, it is reported that almost 30 people are being affected by Covid-19, daily in Pollachi. The infected have been admitted to the Government Hospital in Pollachi and are receiving treatment.
Thus far, 669 people have been confirmed to be infected in Pollachi, of which 517 have now recovered and been discharged. 137 people are currently undergoing treatment to combat the Covid-19 infection.
It is to be noted that 15 people had already died due to Covid-19 and hence the Department of Revenue and Health Department have jointly stepped up Covid-19 immunization drives in the district.
