Coimbatore District's media fraternity pay tribute at Collectorate to journalists who succumbed to Covid-19
Coimbatore: Coimbatore District's media fraternity lit candles and paid silent tribute at the Coimbatore District Collectorate in honour of fellow-journalists who succumbed to Covid-19.
With India registering over 3.46 lakh fresh Covid-19 cases as on Saturday which is the highest single-day spike, many are succumbing to the pandemic due to lack of oxygen in various parts of the country. Journalists at the front lines of reporting on the Covid-19 scenario have also become casualties.
Over 50 people from the media fraternity lit candles and paid their respects to honour the deceased journalists at a tribute event held at the District Collectorate, today.
