Two workers tragically killed in two separate incidents in Coimbatore
Coimbatore: Maheswaran (50), a labourer from Vellalore, Coimbatore was electrocuted while laying tar on a road in Madukkarai.
He had reportedly touched an electric wire in the area and was thrown aside in the blink of an eye. His co-workers rescued him and rushed him to the Coimbatore Government Hospital. Doctors confirmed that Maheshwaran had been brought dead to the hospital. The Madukkarai police have registered a case and are conducting an investigation.
In another incident,Saminathan (59) from Kathir Naickenpalayam near Thudiyalur in Coimbatore who was working as an employee in a private company in the area was riding his moped on the Ooty-Coimbatore road on Thursday evening when he unexpectedly hit a barrier in the middle of the road.
He was rushed to the Coimbatore Government Hospital by locals in the area. Saminathan reportedly died after failing to respond to treatment. Thudiyalur police have registered a case and are conducting an investigation.
