Coimbatore:Tribal woman gives birth to twin girls in Valparai. Sivarani Manikandan (24) of Palakinaru Settlement in Valparai, Coimbatore District was pregnant with her second child.
During the scan, it was revealed that she was having twins. All the necessary medical tests during pregnancy were taken care of at the Sholayar Dam Government Primary Health Centre.
As per the advice of Regional Medical Officer Babu Lakshman of Government Primary Health Center Valparai she was under care at the pre-natal ward for a week.
On receiving labour pains yesterday, Sivarani was taken to Pollachi Government Hospital at 12.40 am.
"She was sent to labour today morning and after a successful C-section, the tribal woman has given birth to 2 healthy baby girl babies," said the obstetrician at the Pollachi Government Hospital.
