In a press release issued by the NNRC Retirement Community project founder, Dinakar Perumal, he has said, "The award is the recognition for our vision to bring the best ambience for our customers. Thanks to my architect Manikandan from DNA Studio and my construction team for bringing my vision to life."

The largest gazebo at NNRC that has tile roofing and open sides all around stand tall in the middle of the property and this open space also has natural light and plenty of aeration coming in from all directions and it can be used for many purposes. Yoga, lecture hall, art sessions, music session, meditation space, games arena to name a few.

Dinakar Perumal said, "India Records Academy award of certificate is for the largest gazebo measured 242.25 square meters (2,607.59 square feet). It was accomplished by NNRC - Nirmala Nilayam Retirement Community, Coimbatore district, Tamil Nadu, India on March 20, 2021.

Tamilan Book award of Certificate is the largest gazebo measured 2,607.59 square feet, was set, and constructed by NNRC - Nirmala Nilayam Retirement Community, Coimbatore district, TamilNadu, India on March 20, 2021".

Dinakar Perumal also said, “COVID-19 gave us ample time to revisit traditional architectural designs such as the sky-lit courtyard (OTS - Open To Sky) that lets sunlight filter in and disinfect the building. The villas for senior citizens are modelled after the Uniform Federal Accessibility Standards of the US, also use the traditional Open To Sky (OTS) design, where an area in the house directly opens to the sky and is covered by fibre or translucent glass."

He has also emphasized the significance of their spacious and well-lit infrastructure. "Nothing like sunlight to sanitise homes. At NNRC, we have used natural sunlight and lots of open area for more aeration wherever possible. OTS is a traditional concept that we lost along the way. It is now making a comeback."

The community has around 41 villas in a 3 acre campus at NNRC Phase I.
