Tirupur: There was a stir in Tirupur District Palladam four-way road junction when a North Indian youth threatened to commit suicide by climbing on a traffic signal pole and hanging upside down.

Seeing this, the local people came together and stopped a heavy lorry and with its help, the fire department rushed to rescue the person.
He was later identified as Kageshwar Begum from Bihar. A few days ago, someone had snatched his cell phone and driving license in the Karanampettai area at night and assaulted him.
He was being treated at the hospital and the crime branch police were conducting an investigation.
But suddenly Kageshwar visited the stone quarry he previously worked at and asked for a job but they denied the work. He demanded a driver's license and created chaos.
Fearing that his livelihood is at stake, he took this drastic step to suicide. The Palladam Police have admitted him at the Tirupur government hospital for further treatment.
