Counterfeit notes worth Rs. 1.8 crore seized in Coimbatore: Two men arrested
Coimbatore: Two men were arrested with Rs.2000 counterfeit notes totalling Rs. 1.8 crore in Coimbatore.

The Perur police received information that men were circulating counterfeit Rs. 2,000 notes in Coimbatore, and based on this, Kerala Police personnel arrived in Coimbatore to arrest 24-year old Asrab in the Karumbukkadai Valal Nagar area. Later, both Kerala and Coimbatore police conducted a joint search of Sultan's (32) house in Ukkadam in Al-Ameen Colony area on the basis of information provided by Asrab. They conducted an enquiry about the source of the counterfeit notes and its circulation.

The Special Police team have taken the two men to Kerala for further interrogation to ascertain the source of the counterfeit notes racket.
