Government Arts College to turn into COVID-19 treatment center in Udumalaipettai
Tirupur: Last year, the COVID-19 Special Treatment Center was launched at the Udumalaipettai Government Arts College to treat people affected by COVID-19 infections.
But all COVID-19 patients were only treated at the Udumalai Government Hospital and none were sent to the special camp set up on the campus of the Government Arts College.
Since then, the impact of the second wave of COVID-19 has prevented college students from returning to attend classes on the campus.

With the spiralling COVID-19 cases, the municipality staff have again taken steps to turn the Government Arts College into a special COVID-19 treatment center which will serve as a special camp with the facility of about a hundred beds.
