Coimbatore: In spite of sanitation workers risking their own lives to keep the environment clean as well as collect samples for COVID testing during the pandemic, misdemeanors against sanitation workers have not reduced.
In a video that has gone viral on social media, a man can be seen snatching the mobile phone of a sanitation worker and throwing it away.
The sanitation worker reportedly visited the spot to collect nasal samples for COVID testing.
While the man was seen venting his anger, a woman by his side is seen warning the sanitation worker to not cause trouble. She is also seen brazenly goading the sanitation worker to film her saying she was not talking anything wrong.
The incident took place on Tuesday, at a Gandhipuram locality. The sanitation worker who was at the receiving end has not been identified and various attempts by our news team to reach the worker has failed.
