Worker stuck in a landslide safely rescued in Coimbatore


Coimbatore: Co-workers rescue a worker trapped in a mudslide during a pipe-laying operation in Ukkadam.

Construction of drinking water pipeline is underway at Coimbatore Ukkadam, Housing Unit. The roads are being dug and the pipe laying works are in process. When the workers were engaged in the work of laying the pipe yesterday morning, the soil unexpectedly collapsed and fell on one of the workers.

The worker's foot got stuck in the soil and those who were nearby acted quickly and rescued him. In this, the worker sustained a minor injury to his legs. The local public praised the workers who acted quickly and rescued their colleague from the landslide.
