Strict security measures for devotees and staff at temples: Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department
Coimbatore: Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department has said that the devotees and staff visiting temples must follow safety rules properly and warned that stern action will be taken against the violators.
The Coimbatore Regional Office has directed the temples under the control of the Department Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments in Coimbatore to strictly adhere to the coronavirus security measures.
Circular was sent to all temples on behalf of the Office of the Associate Commissioner, Department of Hindu Religiousand Charitable Endowments. The circular said, all temple staff and officers, must wear face masks, social space, follow hand hygiene, etc and said the body temperature of the devotees must be checked before allowing entry.
Only people wearing masks should be allowed inside the temple and disinfectants should be kept in stock. Devotees are not allowed to stand or sit crowded in the temple. Events such as weddings and other ceremonies must be carried out without violating the rules for any reason. Violators will be fined if they devotees and departmental action will be taken if they are employees or officers.
