A total of 46 people have turned positive to the infection in a single day today. Around 18 from the Northern Zone including D Nalligaundapalayam, Puliyampatti and Vadakkipalayam.
10 people including in Vakkampalayam and Makkinampatti, around 18 people were infected in Pollachi urban areas.
The health department has taken intensive measures in the affected areas to limit the infection. Officials say that the reason behind the rise in spread is due to the public violation of Covid-19 protocols and has requested the public to wear face masks and maintain social distancing everywhere.
