A leopard was spotted roaming in the Vazhaithottam area of Valparai in Coimbatore district. Following that the forest department has launched intensive patrol duty with CCTV cameras and traps set to capture the leopard.
Meanwhile, officials received a tip about a leopard in the streets of Anna Nagar in Valparai yesterday. This created panic amidst the public.
Adding to it, the leopard was today spotted near the Pudhuthottam area and forest officials are taking serious measures to capture it.
The forest officials have advised the public to be careful and keep the children safe and to bury the meat waste collected at home.
