Practical exams for 16,470 Class 12 students conducted in Coimbatore.
Coimbatore: In the wake of the Government's recent announcement regarding Class 10 and Class 12 Board exams, owing to the second wave of COVID-19 sweeping across the nation, the Tamil Nadu Board has cancelled all examinations. An 'All Pass' has been issued for all classes except Class 12.
Class 12 Board exams are scheduled to start from May 5 to May 31. Language exams scheduled for May 3 have been postponedto May 31.
The Practical exam for 16,470 Class 12 students was conducted at 236 centers in the district on Friday, with training classes done on Thursday.
The District Principal Education Officer Ramakrishnan said, "As the spread of COVID-19 infection is high, students took part in the practical test under strict COVID-19 control measures in school laboratories. The Headmaster and other course teachers have been advised to provide proper guidance to students and conduct the students' practical exam and other exams. The exams are being held in two phases from April 16 till May 23. In the first phase, 16, 470 students from 356 schools in the district took their practical exams in 236 centers under strict COVID-19 safety protocols," he added.
