Vaccination drive in Coimbatore has been expedited owing to the rise of COVID-19 cases.
Coimbatore: The vaccination drive against COVID-19 has been expedited in Coimbatore owing to the steep rise of COVID-19 infections.CODISSIA Head, Ramesh Babu announced that a total of 4460 people have been vaccinated against COVID-19 at the five-day camp.
Accordingly, employees of factories and their families above the age of 45 were administered the vaccination at the special vaccination camp set up in CODISSIA. The five-day camp which kickstarted on April 11 had a team of two medical experts present to vaccinate people who had volunteered for the vaccination drive at the camp.
Those who had volunteered to get vaccinated had to provide an identification card to be eligible for their dose of the vaccination.
