Home isolation will be henceforth allowed to individuals with a private room and toilet.
Coimbatore: In a recent announcement, the Health officials said, "In view of the increasing number of COVID-19 infections in Coimbatore, we are giving permission to COVID-19 positive patients to be isolated in their homes, if they have adequate facilities at home."
They also mentioned that person who is confirmed to be infected must have a private room with an attached toilet in it. Home isolation will be allowed only after matching these criteria. Accordingly,168 people have been isolated in their homes so far.
COVID-19 tests were performed on 7,604 people yesterday.
Apart from this, COVID-19 testing has been done for 9,96,990 people in the district so far. And 2,84,000 people have taken vaccines till date in Coimbatore.
