Deputy Commissioner Stalin participates in COVID-19 prevention awareness campaign in Coimbatore; Vaccination drive also begins simultaneously to contain the spread.
Coimbatore: With the rise in the second wave of COVID-19 infected cases being witnessed in Coimbatore daily, the district and corporation officials are taking various preventive measures to contain the spread. A vaccination drive has also been initiated in the city.
A COVID-19 awareness campaign was organized on Wednesday at the Coimbatore Big Bazaar Street Police Station to which traders in the area and other micro entrepreneurs and jewellery shop owners were invited.

The event was headed by the Assistant Commissioner Thirumeni and Deputy Commissioner of Coimbatore City (Law and Order), Stalin participated in the event as the Chief Guest, explaining to the audience about the fast-sweeping nature of COVID-19 if safety protocols are not strictly followed.
