Sudden summer showers bring welcome relief to people in the city
Coimbatore: Coimbatore received its share of summer showers on Wednesday ushering in welcome relief to people in the city who have been sweating it out due to the onset of rising summer temperatures.
According to a statement issued by the Meteorological Department on Tuesday, summer showers were predicted across Tamil Nadu. Coimbatore weather was expected to remain cloudy but at 7 pm this evening, there was a sudden thunderstorm accompanied by heavy showers.
Ganapathy, Saravanampatti, TexTools Bridge, Gandhipuram, Oppanakara Street, Crosscut Road, Sullivan Road, Lawley Road, Vadavalli, Ukkadam and Singanallur expereienced heavy rain, much to the relief of its residents.
