Coimbatore: The flight service between Coimbatore and Sharjah is operated on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays by Air Arabia. Excluding pilots and flight attendants, the aircraft is designed to carry 168 passengers. Previously, only 80 passengers were on board during each service. But in the past 10 days, the company is flying a full house service.
Airport sources said, "Currently, a large number of merchants are using Air Arabia flights. Normally, merchants who go to Sharjah return at least a week later. But now with the high prevalence of the disease, they are returning back immediately to Coimbatore."
At the international service, flights were connecting Coimbatore with Singapore, Sharjah and Sri Lanka. But now, only the Air Arabia company is providing services to other countries.
