Amid the second wave of coronavirus, a large number of devotees visited the temples.
Coimbatore: Thirumurthy Hills is located in Udumalaipettai, Tirupur district and Amanalingeswarar Temple is situated nearby where Lord Brahma and Lord Shiva can be worshipped in one place. The Panchalinga Falls is located at an altitude of 900 m above the temple and is visited by a large number of tourists every year.

Today is Chithirai Thirunal, the New Year for the Tamil people. So a large number of devotees from hundreds of villages around Udumalai visited the temple today to take Theertham to the guardian deities in their own village.

Devotees were seen in large numbers with Theertham pots everywhere in the vicinity of the temple. It was expected that there would not be any crowd here today due to Covid-19 spread.

But on the contrary, there were large numbers of people and many headed to the falls to refresh.
