Thief flees after trying to break into Citi Union Bank ATM in Coimbatore
Coimbatore: The thief fled when the alarm went off when he tried to break into the City Union Bank ATM on Annur Road, Mettupalayam, Coimbatore.
Several lakhs of money was saved. Citi Union Bank is located between Annur Mettupalayam Road, Coimbatore. An ATM center is operating at its entrance and at midnight yesterday an unidentified person went inside and tried to break into the ATM and steal the money.
Then suddenly the alarm sounded and the thief fled immediately. The night guards in the neighborhood and the public informed the bank manager and the police. Police arrived at the scene immediately and are searching for the thief after examining all the clues, including the CCTV footage. The incident caused a stir at midnight.
