Coimbatore: Ferozkhan (30), Mohammad Ravi (32) from Azad Nagar near Kuniyamuthur along with Raman (31) from Vetrilai Kara Veedhi, who were friends went to the Tasmac store on Palakkad Road yesterday to have alcohol.
An argument broke out between them while being intoxicated and the three men were standing in front of the Tasmac store fighting and arguing.
Sub Inspector Subramaniam from the Kuniyamuthur police department, who was patrolling the area at the time, advised them to go home.

SI Subramaniam lodged a complaint with the Kuniyamuthur police. Following the complaint, the police arrested the 3 men and have now taken them into custody under 3 sections including threatening to kill a civil servant, for speaking inappropriate words and preventing him from doing his duty.
The assaulters were produced in court and were remanded in custody.
