Coimbatore: Continuing to register a dip in new infections, Tamil Nadu on Tuesday recorded 6,984 fresh COVID-19 cases and 18 more deaths, pushing the overall case tally to 9,47,129 and toll to 12,945.

Recoveries continued to eclipse new cases with 3,289 patients getting cured aggregating to 8,84,199 till date, the State health department bulletin said.
Active cases stood at 49,985.
Among districts, Chennai led with 2,482 new cases today followed by Coimbatore with 504 cases.
Testing of samples stood at 83,332 today, totalling to 2,06,86,440 getting examined till date.
