The Nilgiris: Residents in the area next to the Coonoor Sim's Park were shocked to witness a sudden barrage of a Bison on Tuesday.
Coonoor, which is situated in the Nilgiris, is a densely forested area and is frequently visited by exclusive wildlife such as bears, leopards, bison's etc.

Today, a bison that infiltrated the Sim's Park residential area, was seen roaming the area for a long time which frightened the public.
It has been alleged that the forest department has not taken any actions despite the repeated complaint by the area public to send the bison to deep forests.
So far around 13 people in Coonoor have been killed during bison attacks. Hence, the people in the area have demanded that the forest department take immediate action as there is a risk of casualties at any time with bison roaming in the street.
