Some people have the habit of dumping the chicken and meat waste from these butcher shops into the Thamaraikulam dam area at night. The stench near the dam has caused distress to the public in the locality.
In addition to this, the meat waste is accumulated in the dam area and is causing pollution across the dam area.
During the rainy season, the water in the pond is polluted due to the mixing of meat waste and the water in the dam.
Therefore, the public has requested the officials of the Thamaraikulam Panchayat Board to take immediate action against this issue.
