Tirupur Corporation fined companies and restaurants that violated COVID-19 prevention measures

Corporation officials are intensively doing inspections to keep the virus situation under control in the city


Tirupur: In Tirupur district, 160 people were confirmed to be COVID-19 positive yesterday. Infections in people are on the rise. hence, the corporation officials have been actively involved in COVID-19 prevention activities throughout the corporation.



Companies on the Tirupur-Perumanallur road were fined by the corporation and health department officials for not wearing face masks. In restaurants, the public was not seen following the social distancing or wearing masks as preventative measures so they were also asked to pay fines.



The corporation officials also imposed immediate fines on motorcyclists who did not wear a face mask.
