A leopard has been spotted frequently in the residential areas of Valparai.
Coimbatore: The Public belonging to the Vazhaithottam area had requested the forest officials to capture a leopard roaming in the streets of Valparai, Coimbatore during nighttime.
Owing to the request, the Forest Officials were monitoring the area by installing CCTV cameras. Now, under the orders of Anamalai Tiger Reserve Commissioner Arokiyaraj Xavier, Anamalai Tiger Reserve Assistant Commissioner Selvam, Attakatti Trainee Officer Jayachandran and Forest Ranger Manigandan along with a team of Forest Guards, they have set up a trap near the Nallakathu estate to capture the leopard.
Officials are also intensively monitoring the movements of the leopard.
