Man arrested for being in possession of fake notes totalling Rs. 2,01,000
Tirupur: Police inspected vehicles at the Padiyur police checkpost near Kangayam in Tirupur district, on Sunday evening during which Kannan (34) from Thanjavur who was riding an unregistered Pulsar bike was found with fake notes of Rs. 2000, Rs. 500 and Rs. 200 denominations.
The fake notes confiscated totalled to Rs. 1,29,000 and later Rs.72,000 fake notes that had not yet been cut, were confiscated from his house.
The police have arrested Kannan and are further investigating.
