Man sentenced to 18 years imprisonment and Rs. 1 lakh fine for sexual abuse of a two-year-old girl by Ooty Mahila Court
Coimbatore: Ooty Mahila Court has sentenced a man to 18 years imprisonment and fined him Rs 1 lakh for sexually harassing a two-year-old girl in the Edumakandi area near Ooty in 2018.
Gopalakrishnan sexually assaulted a 2-year-old girl in the Edumakandi area near Ooty. Following this, the grandmother of the victim has lodged a complaint at the All Women's Police Station. The case was handled by Ooty Mahila Court.
The Ooty Mahila Court judge who heard the case today sentenced Gopalakrishnan to 18 years in prison and a fine of one lakh rupees for sexually harassing the girl. He was informed that he will be sentenced to two more years in prison if he did not pay the fine.
