Theatres to operate at 50 percent, COVID-19 restrictions come into force from today.


Coimbatore: The Central and State governments have imposed various restrictions to control the pandemic as the second wave of COVID-19 increases. The restrictions for Tamil Nadu comes into effect from today.

Only 50 percent of people are allowed to use public places like theaters and malls. And, public are not allowed to travel standing in bus.



In Coimbatore, buses are operated in compliance with these rules and social distancing is observed in buses from today.



The operators are also actively following the rules of social distancing in theaters and allow only 50 per cent of seat occupancy.

Body temperature is monitored and disinfectants are sprayed on the hands and wearing masks has been made mandatory at all places. Also, it is mandatory to wear a face mask in public places and failing to do so will be imposed with a fine of Rs 200.
