Vadakipalayam police officials have registered a case on the suicide of lovelorn Parthini
Coimbatore: Parthini, the daughter of Senthil Kumar, a resident of Kapulipalayam near Pollachi who was pursuing her second year engineering course at a private college in Pollachi committed suicide on Friday, being unable to deal with the grief of her deceased lover.
Parthini was in love with a fellow college student, Ramesh from Udumalaipet. Unfortunately, Ramesh was killed in a road accident two days ago. Parthini who was seen extremely distraught while attending the final rites of Ramesh consumed pesticide later in her home to end her life.
Parthini's parents rushed her to the Government Hospital in Pollachi for immediate medical aid. She was later moved to the Coimbatore Government Hospital for further treatment, but unfortunately died not responding to the treatment.
