Man returning home after being treated for accident injuries dies in car blaze en route home, near Tirupur
Tirupur: Rangarajan (52) from Thudupathi near Tirupur was being treated at a private hospital in Coimbatore after having been involved in an accident, last month.
Rangarajan who was recovering was being taken home by his wife Jyotimani and a relative Raja in a car from Coimbatore to Thudupathi last night. Raja and Jyotimani reportedly parked the car in Perumanallur area to get down and attend nature's call.
On returning, when Raja reportedly started the car, smoke began emitting from the car. Raja and Jyotimani apparently got down from the car and tried to save Rangarajan but the car reportedly caught fire. By then, Rangarajan had been charred to death in the blazing car.The Perumanallur police who had arrived at the scene after receiving information are conducting an investigation on the car blaze.
