50,000 vaccines to be administered in Pollachi to curb the spread of COVID-19: Pollachi Sub-Collector Vaithianathan
Coimbatore: With a spike in the second wave of Coronavirus cases across Tamil Nadu, the number of people contracting the infection is also on the increase in Coimbatore district. Hence, 50,000 Covaxin vaccines will be administered in Pollachi to prevent the spread of Coronavirus in the district.
Chinnampalayam, Makkinampatti, Suleeswaranpatti and Athuppollachi have been identified as areas with high Covid infection rates. Sub-Collector Vaithianathan reassured the public saying that intensive preventive measures will be taken in these villages and the first phase of vaccination is to be administered to those over 45 years of age.
