Coimbatore: Cash deposits can be made at the Anamalai Masaniamman Temple at permanent undiyals kept at the temple premises and in the plates of the priests.
It is a custom to open these undiyals every month. Accordingly today in the presence of Assistant Commissioner Vijayalakshmi, Temple Assistant Commissioner Karunanidhi the temple hundiyals were opened for counting.
Over 100 plus people are involved in the counting process and the 9 plate deposit hundiyals and 22 permanent hundiyals were counted. A total of Rs 6,19,336 rupees was collected from the plate hundiyals and Rs 41,81,085 rupees were collected from the permanent hundiyals.
