Coimbatore: Murugan is an AIADMK party member from Kennedy street near Vellalore. He has a wife Manoranjitham and son Gajendran (37) who is a cable TV operator. Meanwhile he and Malik (alias) Madan (24) from the same area had locked horns earlier.
Gajendran yesterday night was on his way home from Singanallur on his motorcycle. While crossing the bridge, Madan stopped Gajendran and then stabbed on his shoulder and stomach using a knife. He then fled the scene.
Gajendran who was fighting for his life was recovered by a passerby and was then admitted at a private hospital for treatment. Gajendran is still under intensive treatment.
