Coimbatore: Due to the Covid-19 virus spread, operations for international flights have been banned to arrive in India except the flights under Vande Bharat plan.
On behalf of Air Arabia, 3 flights were in operation to Sharajah, in which one is of the Emirates. Now, the operations has been increased from 3 flights to 5 flights per week.
Our sources said, “The situation has not turned to normal at the Coimbatore International Airport post Covid-19. Airline companies have slowly increased their operations while some have temporarily suspended their services.”
“Air Arabia company is undertaking operations from Coimbatore - Sharjah. While providing services 5 times a week, they suddenly slowed to 3 operations every week,” sources added.
But now, they have resumed their operations to 5 flights per week. The flight service from Coimbatore - Sharjah is available on Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
During these days the flights arrive at Coimbatore during early mornings and then leave to Sharjah early during morning hours.
“This increase in operation will help travellers reach Coimbatore and Sharjah, the sources added.
