Coimbatore: The State assembly elections for 2021 is taking place across all districts in Tamil Nadu today. Voters eagerly have filed their votes from the morning. Here are the details of the constituency-wise voter turnout at the 10 assembly constituencies in Coimbatore:
Mettupalayam:
There are a total of 2,96,870 voters in the Mettupalayam assembly constituency.
Mettupalayam constituency has 1,43,702 male voters, 1,53,128 female voters and 40 voters from the 3rd gender.
Out of that, 87,658 male voters, 89,951 female voters and six 3rd gender voters have cast their votes so far till 5 pm, making the total polls filed in the constituency to reach 1,77,615.
Mettupalayam constituency has recorded 61% male voters, 58.74 female voters and 15% third gender, voters making the total polling percentage 59.83% so far.
Sulur:
There are a total of 3,17,124 voters in the Sulur assembly constituency comprising 1,55,035 male voters, 1,62,063 female voters and 26 third gender voters.
Sulur constituency has recorded 1,08,224 male voters, 1,07,248 female voters and 9 third gender voters, who have cast their votes till 5 pm, taking the total to 1,77,615.
The polling percentage of Sulur includes 69.81% male, 66.18 % female and 34.62 third gender voters, making the total percentage to 67.95% so far.
Kavundampalayam:
There are a total of 4,65,228 voters in the Kavundampalayam assembly constituency. The constituency has 2,32,142 male voters, 2,32,990 female voters and 96 voters from the third gender.
In that 1,40,814 male voters, 1,39,737 female voters and 15 third gender voters have cast their votes so far till 5 pm making the total polls filed in the constituency reach a total of 2,80,566 Kavundampalayam constituency.
Kavundampalayam constituency has recorded 60.66% male voters, 59.98 female voters and 15.63% third gender voters, making the total polling percentage 60.31% so far.
Coimbatore North:
There are a total of 3,38,648 voters in the Coimbatore North assembly constituency comprising 1,70,463 male voters, 1,68,147 female voters and 38 third gender voters.
Coimbatore North constituency has recorded 93,064 male voters, 88,119 female voters and 1 third gender voter till 5 pm, making the total number 1,811,84 voters.
Polling Percentage of Coimbatore North constituency includes 54.59% male, 52.41% female and 2.63 third gender voters, making the total percentage to 53.50% so far in Coimbatore North assembly constituency.
Thondamuthur:
There are a total of 3,26,779 voters in the Thondamuthur assembly constituency. In that, there are 1,61,915 male voters, 1,64,783 female voters and 81 voters from the third gender.
Here, 1,05,536 male voters, 1,05,744 female voters and 14 third gender voters have cast their votes till 5 pm, making the total polls filed in the constituency reach 2,11,294 in the Thondamuthur constituency.
Thondamuthur constituency has recorded 64.17% male voters, 64.17% female voters and 17.28% third gender voters making the total polling percentage 64.66% so far.
Coimbatore South:
There are a total of 2,52,753 voters in the Coimbatore South assembly constituency comprising 1,26,158 male voters, 1,26,571 female voters and 24 third gender voters.
Coimbatore South constituency has recorded 71,841 male voters, 68,273 female voters and 5 third gender voters till 5 pm, making a total of 1,40,119.
Polling Percentage of Coimbatore South constituency includes 54.59% male, 52.41% female and 2.63 third gender voters, which makes the total percentage jump to 53.50% in this constituency.
Singanallur:
There are a total of 3,25,230 voters in the Singanallur assembly constituency. In that, there are 1,61,579 male voters, 1,63,625 female voters and 26 voters from the third gender.
In that 97,909 male voters, 85,555 female voters and 1 third gender voter have cast their votes so far till 5 pm, making the total polls filed in the constituency reach 1,83,465 voters.
Singanallur constituency has recorded 60.60% male voters, 52.29% female voters and 3.85% third gender voters, making the total polling percentage 56.41% so far.
Kinathukadavu:
There are a total of 3,26,868 voters in the Kinathukadavu assembly constituency. In that, there are 1,60,514 male voters, 1,66,312 female voters and 42 voters from the third gender.
In that 1,04,490 male voters, 1,05,488 female voters and 9 voters from the third gender have cast their votes so far till 5 pm, making the total polls filed in the constituency reach 2,09,987 in Kinathukadavu constituency.
Kinathukadavu constituency has recorded 65.10% male voters, 63.43% female voters and 21.43% third gender voters making the total polling percentage 64.24% so far.
Pollachi:
There are a total of 2,27,049 voters in the Pollachi assembly constituency. In that, there are 1,08,852 male voters, 1,18,159 female voters and 38 voters from the third gender.
In that 80,276 male voters, 82,020 female voters and 2 third gender voters have cast their votes so far till 5 pm making the total polls filed in the constituency reach 1,62,298 in Pollachi constituency.
Pollachi constituency has recorded 73.75% male voters, 69.41% female voters and 5.26% third gender voters making the total polling percentage 71.48% so far.
Valparai:
There are a total of 2,05,479 voters in the Valparai assembly constituency. Here, we have 98,667 male voters, 1,06,795 female voters and 17 voters from the third gender.
Out of them, 64,470 male voters, 66,570 female voters and 2 voters from the third gender have filed their votes so far till 5 pm, making the total polls in the constituency reach 1,29,791.
Valparai constituency has recorded 65.34% male voters, 62.33% female voters and 11.76% third gender voters making the total polling percentage 63.17% so far.
The EC, under Chief Electoral Officer Satyabrata Sahoo, has extended the polling time for general voters and has permitted them to vote after 6 PM also. The election polling is expected to end by 7 PM tonight.
