Nilgiris' tribals arrive in traditional attire to cast their votes in Ooty
Coimbatore: Along with the public in Ooty, members of the prominent tribes like the Badagas, Kothas and Todas arrived at polling booths in traditional attire and waited in long queues to cast their votes.

Elderly women above the age of 80 and those voting for the first time seemed to be the most eager of the lot.

Voting in 868 polling stations in 3 constituencies in the Nilgiris district has been underway peacefully, since this morning. Tea plantation workers living in the remote parts of the district too queued up at their respective booths to cast their votes.
