Voting kickstarts at 4427 polling stations in Coimbatore
Coimbatore: Voting for the State Assembly elections kickstarted at 7 am this morning at 4,427 polling stations in Coimbatore.
State Assembly elections are underway in Tamil Nadu today in a single phase and a total of 4,427 polling stations have been set up in 10 constituencies in Coimbatore district. 5,316 voting machines are in use at these centers.
In addition, 21,500 government employees are officiating in the election process. Voting is underway at all polling stations in compliance with adequate Coronavirus safety measures in place.
