"I don't understand in which language the UP Chief Minister will campaign here:" Kamal Haasan
Coimbatore: Kamal Haasan, the Chairman of Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM) who is contesting from Coimbatore South constituency concluded his final campaign at Kottaimedu. Radhika Sarathkumar, administrator of Akila India Samathuva Makkal Katchi which is a coalition party accompanied him.
"This is not the first or last time I have visited you in this constituency. This is the beginning of a series of journeys. I know some people in the area have asked how our support for the people would be. Instead, I claim to be the first person to file a case in the Supreme Court from Tamil Nadu against the Citizenship Amendment Act. India's strength is in its diversity and we have great faith in it and can do it. I would like to set an example for India through the Coimbatore South constituency," he reiterated.
Kamal Haasan further added, "We are the party that approaches people directly and solves their problems. Many people look at me and ask if I will work here if I win in Coimbatore South constituency. Is the Chief Minister Edappadi K Palanisamy the one who won in Edappadi? But, as for me, I am building a house for myself in the south of Coimbatore."
"Also, a total of 19 MLA offices with one MLA office in each ward is my home. There, you and I can converse directly. This is the digital age, so you can talk to anyone at any time. We will not avoid talking to people for a reason like other parties. They are recruiting people from outside and campaigning. I do not understand what language the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister will campaign in. He is uneducated and that is why there was stone pelting. Opponents are asking to forego issues as if these issues are all small stones. Then, would it be possible to forego the Thoothukudi issue where the bullet was also small?" challenged Kamal Haasan.
He further stated that the opposition wants to provoke the anger of people and then turn that into a crime. "People should not let that happen. Our plan is to live together and our plan is not a conspiracy to operate in secret. It is my duty to ensure quality education for my people. I have a plan to set up a digital library in every ward so that you can easily access all kinds of information from around the world. We are in the field of bringing about change for the people. Vote for the 'Torchlight' symbol in the coming assembly elections," requested Kamal Haasan.
