Flying Squad and Income Tax officials raid former AIADMK councillor's residence in Pollachi, Rs. 1,70,600 unaccounted cash confiscated
Coimbatore: With the Assembly elections in Tamil Nadu approaching, there have been complaints that the AIADMK is involved in distributing money to voters in various parts of the state.
The Flying Squad officials received information that AIADMK giving money to voters in areas under Pollachi. The authorities have received information that money has been hoarded for distribution to the public at the house of former AIADMK councillor Murugan, who lives on Mariappan Road, Pollachi - Palakkad Road.

Based on this information, the Election Flying Squad officers and Income Tax officials, along with National Security Force personnel raided his house and seized unaccounted cash of Rs. 1,70,600. The money has been surrendered to the Election officials.
The raid lasted for five hours and further investigation is conducted.
