BJP Vanathi Srinivasan files a complaint against Congress candidate Mayura Jayakumar for distributing booth slips.
Coimbatore: With just two days to go for the 2021 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, the campaigns are set to end at 7 pm today.
BJP Vanathi Srinivasan has accused Congress candidate Mayura Jayakumar of acting against the election rules by distributing booth slip in the name of a pledge throughout the block. Both the candidates are contesting from the Coimbatore South constituency in the upcoming elections.
Upon receiving the information, Vanathi Srinivasan has lodged a complaint with the District Electoral Officer seeking immediate action against Mayura S Jayakumar.
She has mentioned in the complaint that the booth slip distribution should be stopped immediately and confiscated. She has also asked the officials to take appropriate action against him for violating the election rules.
Vanathi Srinivasan has also provided a copy of the distributed booth slip along with the complaint letter.
