Air India adds routes between Mangalore - Coimbatore; receives passengers' nods.
Coimbatore: The Air India carrier has introduced a new routing between Mangalore -Coimbatore and has received a good response from the passengers.
Aviation sources said, "This flight will start from Mangalore lands at Coimbatore and from Coimbatore, it will leave to Mumbai. There is a lot of international flight connectivity available at Mangalore airport. It takes long hours to travel by road to Mangalore. Hence this service will get a very good response from passengers who use Coimbatore airport."
This new route is estimated to start from 12:35 pm at Mangalore and is expected to reach Coimbatore at 1:30 pm.
Steep Increase in 'Covid- 19' infections has made a big impact on the Flight operations at Coimbatore international airport. Some airlines have cancelled their service temporarily and few others show uncertainty in providing services. Amid this situation, this new route has rather received a good response.
Kongu Global Forum (KGF) Director, D. Nanda Kumar said, "This is a very good route. People who go for pilgrimage, businessmen, and those who wish to go to various foreign countries would be more benefited. We welcome Air India's initiative. We also expect more airlines to come forward to start many new services."
