"Periyar gave the identity of Tamils. Is BJP trying to change this identity?" asks Radhika Sarathkumar in Coimbatore

Coimbatore: Radhika Sarathkumar, the administrator of the Akila India Samathuva Makkal Katchi, a party that is in coalition with MNM campaigned in the Coimbatore South constituency to support Kamal Haasan.

Radhika Sarathkumar addressed the gathering and said, "People need to come forward to bring about change in the forthcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly elections. So far, only two parties have been alternately disappointing the people of Tamil Nadu. This situation needs to be changed. The DMK calls the AIADMK a thief and the AIADMK calls the DMK a thief. Our party cannot be accused of being a thief or corrupt.

We work sincerely for the future society and people should support us in the coming elections. Many accuse us of being the “B Team” of many parties, but I claim to be an honest team."

She took the stage to extend her heartfelt wishes to the Christian Community for Easter today.

Speaking about the BJP party, Radhika Sarathkumar accused, "A BJP leader has spoken against Periyar. Periyar is an atheist. Why should we oppose him for that? It was Periyar who gave the identity of Tamil to Tamilians. Is BJP trying to change the identity of Tamils?"

She also urged the people to support the MNM-led alliance for a change. "We will be a seed for change. You will see the change if the people support the Makkal Needhi Maiam in the upcoming elections on the 6th by voting for Kamal Haasan on the Torchlight symbol," Radhika added.

Actor and politician Kamal Haasan is contesting from Coimbatore South constituency against BJP Candidate Vanathi Srinivasan and Congress leader Mayura S Jayakumar and others on April 6, 2021.
