Kamal Haasan, the President of the Makkal Needhi Maiam party is contesting from the Coimbatore South constituency in the 2021 State Assembly Elections
Coimbatore: Kamal Haasan, the President of the Makkal Needhi Maiam party is contesting in the Coimbatore South constituency. He has written a heartfelt open letter to his fellow candidates contesting the Coimbatore South constituency in this election.
His letter read, " To the Fellow candidates of Coimbatore South constituency, Greetings from Kamal Haasan, the candidate contesting on behalf of the Makkal Needhi Maiam in the Coimbatore South constituency. Elections are not a battlefield. It is not a cricket match between two teams. I often mention to my colleagues that victory or defeat should not be considered as the end of an election."
Further, he has said, "I want the forthcoming elections in the Coimbatore South constituency to be honest, transparent and peaceful. Let the one who people think is better for the public win. Whoever wins among us means that the people of Coimbatore South Constituency has won. We have all come to work for the people. There is no doubt that it would be the greatest electoral culture if everyone who competed with the winner gave them support."
Kamal Haasan has also extended his request for everyone to cooperate for this election to be conducted in an honest manner.
"I want to lead Coimbatore South Constituency with a new political culture moving forward. My heartfelt congratulations to you," Kamal Haasan said in his letter.
Kamal Haasan is standing against BJP Candidate Vanathi Srinivasan and Congress candidate Mayura S Jayakumar in the Coimbatore South constituency in the 2021 elections.
