Make three-time Panchayat President V M Shanmugasundaram win the Assembly elections:" Udhayanidhi Stalin campaigns in Coimbatore
Coimbatore: DMK Youth Wing Leader Udhayanidhi Stalin led an intensive campaign in support of DMK Coimbatore North candidate V M Shanmugasundaram. He reiterated that it was more important for V M Shanmugasundaram to win in this constituency than he winning in his Chepauk constituency.
"In the upcoming elections, we have to nullify Edappadi," said DMK Youth Secretary, Udhayanidhi Stalin while campaigning fiercely in Coimbatore to garner support for V M Shanmugasundaram. Both M K Stalin and his son Udhayanidhi Stalin have been intensely campaigning across Tamil Nadu since the date of the assembly elections was announced. With just three days to go before the polls, Udhayanidhi Stalin who is camping in Coimbatore today, campaigned for votes in support of the DMK and Congress candidates.
Speaking at Vadavalli, he said, "You enabled the victory of the DMK and the alliance parties by a huge margin in the parliamentary elections. During the parliamentary elections, it was reported that the Modi wave swept across India. But how many seats did they actually win in Tamil Nadu?"
Later, Udayanidhi Stalin who took an old 1,000 rupee note from his pocket criticized Modi saying, "This is the demonetized 1000 rupee note in my hand. Similarly, there is an opportunity to nullify Palanisamy in this upcoming assembly election," he stated.
"Everyone is looking for the AIIMS hospital. I have brought the AIIMS hospital planted by Modi," said Udayanidhi Stalin pointing to a brick he held in his hand. "If this is the case, they will sell the entire state of Tamil Nadu to Modi," he alleged.
"Velumani's benami, Chandrasekhar has embezzled crores of rupees. Every one of them will be jailed when the regime changes. I went and campaigned in Edappadi constituency and very soon Edappadi constituency will also become ours. V M Shanmugasundaramhas provided many basic amenities such as roads and drinking water and also implemented the Vadavalli Kavundampalayam Joint Drinking Water Project," he added.
"I am contesting as a candidate for the first time in the constituency won by Kalaignar Karunanidhi. My constituency victory is not important to me. The victory of DMK candidate V M Shanmugasundaram who is contesting in this constituency is more important to me," reiteratedUdhayanidhi Stalin.
